    OPTIMALISASI PEMBINAAN GURU BARU DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH

    The problem that rose in this research is the teaching ability of new teachers which is relatively low. It was shown from: (1) teachers had less ability to make teaching preparation; (2) teachers had less ability to perform the teaching procedure; (3) teachers had less ability to establish an interpersonal relation harmonically at classroom. This research is intended to solve the above problems. This research was applied on class 11.4 SMU Negeri I Surakarta. The research was a collaborative research which involved se-nior teachers of history subject matter and new teachers. Their active involvement in the research was enable them to broaden their roles by conducting self-reflection critically toward what they did in the class; and based on that reflection, their performance was improved. In line with the characteristics of the classroom research, the problem above should be overcome by taking action in the form of directing new teachers. This is based on the observation result and the interview that the low ability to teaching not only comes from the teachers themselves, but also from the less effective supervision. The research result shows that after carrying out the actions, the teaching ability has increased significantly, in the turn it brings about a positive effect to the students learning activities

    PERBAIKAN KUALITAS PEMBELAJARAN DALAM PBM SEJARAH SOSIAL

    The objectives of research are: (1) to encourage the students history of study program to be more active in attending the lecture, (2) to improve the lecturer's capability in arranging the lesson plan, (3) to improve the lecturer's capability in implementing the learning procedure, and (4) to improve the lecturer's capability in managing the class. This research was a classroom action research. This research consists of actions aiming at improving the quality of system and practices within the system. This research is reflective in nature, aiming at improving the rational establishment of the action taken. This research was conducted in two cycles. In order to improve the learning quality, the researcher takes some measures: discussion of history learning effectiveness, discussion of class management, RPP preparation practice, peer teaching, and the use of group investigation learning model. From such measures, it can be seen that the learning quality improves from a cycle to another. This is reflected from: the increasing capability of the lecturer in preparing RPP, the increasing capability of the lecturer in implementing the learning procedure, and the increasing capability of the lecturer in managing the class. These improvements also lead to the improvement of students' learning activity. In addition, the capability of managing the class also results in the improvement of learning circumstance.     The problems of research include: (1) how is the concept of history dimension and mythological meaning of Pertapaan Pringgadani tourist object?; (2) to what extent has the society developed the history dimension and mythological meaning of tourist object?; (3) what are the obstacles in developing the history dimension and mythological meaning of tourist object?; and (4) what measures do the government do in the society based tourism education development in Blumbang Tawangmangu? This study was conducted in Tawangmangu, Karanganyar regency. This study belonged to a descriptive qualitative research using a single embedded case study. The data sources employed were: informant, place and event, as well as written source. The data were analyzed using an interactive analysis method. The result of research showed: (1) according the surrounding people, Pertapaan Pringgodani in Kaling Empire time was a place where a hermit defeated Prabu Boko; (2) in addition to physical development, the surrounding people always hold mondosio ritual up to now, as the expression of their gratitude; (3) the development of Pertapaan Pringgodani area has not been optimal. It is due to many obstacles such as heavy area, lack of supporting fund, and society’s low awareness; (4) in order to improve the society's awareness, the government conducts society empowerment and improvement of supporting infrastructures

    Schools Zoning System in the New Student Admission in Indonesia: An Evaluative Study from Equitable Education Management Perspective

    This study aims to examine the implementation of the school zoning system from a justice perspective. Through this research, we could understand how far social justice has been obtained during the zoning system's implementation and the future challenges. The research questions are: (1) Why did the government implement a zoning system? (2) How was the zoning system implemented? (3) How did school principals and history teachers respond to changes in student’s academic quality as a result of the application of the zoning system? The research was conducted qualitatively with a case study approach in the former residency area of Surakarta and the Special Province of Yogyakarta to answer the questions. The data was collected through document analysis, interviews, and observation. The results show that implementing the school zoning system in the New Students Admission was relatively successful in creating justice, especially in directing students to get schools based on their residence. The challenge occurred in the student's educational process. Principals and teachers lack understanding of the equity spirit that underlies the implementation of the school zoning system and gives equal treatment to all students. As a result, students with less prior academic ability will be left behind those with good or excellent prior academic skills. Further research that can be explored from the results of this study is to explore how the impact of the zoning system in other regions may have different results from the Surakarta and Yogyakarta regencies

    The objective of research is to improve the creativity and classic Indonesian history learning achievement through optimizing the creative problem solving model in teaching-learning process in History Study Program of FKIP UNS. This study was carried out using classroom action research. The subject of research was the students of History Study Program attending classing Indonesian history course. Meanwhile the object was the teaching-learning process activity, including: lecturer’s teaching activity, students’ creativity and learning achievement. This research was carried out using collaborative participative approach between the in-charge-of lecturer, assisting lecturer (researcher), and the student so that sharing occurs in each stage of activity. This research was done using cyclical analysis process encompassing four stages of activity: planning, acting, observing, and reflection. This research was implemented in two cycles: cycle I as the implementation of action, and cycle II as improvement. The result of this research shows that from one cycle to another the student’s creativity and learning achievement improves. It is reflected from: the improvement of students discipline in utilizing learning time, capability of looking for and collecting the source, capability of identifying, formulating, and solving the problem, idea generation, students’ idea.ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas dan hasil belajar mahasiswa tentang sejarah  Indonesia  kuno  melalui  optimalisasi  model pemecahan  masalah  kreatif  dalam  pembelajaran di  Program  Studi Pendidikan  Sejarah  FKIP  UNS.  Metode  penelitian  menggunakan  penelitian tindakan kelas.  Subyek  penelitian  meliputi mahasiswa  Program  Studi Pendidikan  Sejarah  yang  menempuh mata  kuliah  sejarah  Indonesia  kuno, dengan  obyek:  aktivitas  mengajar  dosen,  kreativitas   dan  hasil belajar mahasiswa. Pendekatan penelitian ini dilaksanakan melalui partisipatif kolaboratif antara dosen pengampu, dosen pendamping (peneliti), dan mahasiswa. Penelitian dilakukan dengan proses pengkajian berdaur yang meliputi tahap perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini  dilaksanakan dalam  dua  siklus,  yaitu  siklus  I  sebagai  implementasi  tindakan  dan  siklus II  sebagai perbaikan. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa dari satu siklus ke siklus berikutnya kreativitas dan hasil belajar  mahasiswa  semakin  meningkat. Hal  itu  tercermin  dari  peningkatan  kedisiplinan  mahasiswa dalam memanfaatkan  waktu  belajar,  kemampuan  mencari  dan  mengumpulkan sumber,  kemampuan mengidentifikasi, merumuskan dan memecahkan masalah, dan tumbuhnya ide, gagasan dari mahasiswa.</p

    IMPLEMENTASI NILAI KEARIFAN LOKAL PIIL PESENGGIRI SEBAGAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH INDONESIA DI SMAN 2 KALIANDA

    Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter, (2) untuk mengetahui perencanaan pembelajaran sejarah Indonesia yang terintegrasi nilai-nilai Piil Pesenggiri dengan pendidikan karakter dan, (3) untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran sejarah Indonesia yang terintegrasi nilai-nilai Piil Pesenggiri dengan pendidikan karakter di SMAN 2 Kalianda, Lampung Selatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter di SMAN 2 Kalianda secara umum diterapkan pada semua mata pelajaran, termasuk dalam mata pelajaran sejarah Indonesia, (2) perencanaan pembelajaran sejarah yang terintegrasi nilai-nilai Piil Pesenggiri dengan pendidikan karakter yaitu dengan menyusun perangkat pembelajaran berupa silabus dan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) yang memasukkan nilai-nilai Piil Pesenggiri, dan (3) pelaksanaan pembelajaran sejarah Indonesia yang terintegrasi nilai-nilai Piil Pesenggiri dengan pendidikan karakter dapat dilakukan melalui materi sejarah Indonesia seperti perlawanan rakyat Lampung terhadap penjajahan Belanda yang berkaitan dengan nilai-nilai Piil Pesenggiri, menerapkan pembelajaran aktif, menggunakan media, dan metode yang baik. Kesimpulan yang didapat dalam penelitian ini bahwa nilai-nilai kearifan lokal Piil Pesenggiri telah di Implementasikan dan mengandung nilai-nilai Pendidikan Karakter seperti kerja keras, semangat kebangsaan dan nasionalisme, cinta tanah air, tanggung jawab, kebersamaan, gotong royong, kesetiakawanan, keikhlasan, toleransi, kemasyarakatan, empati dan rendah hati dalam materi Sejarah Indonesia yang berkaitan dengan nilai-nilai Piil Pesenggiri di SMAN 2 Kalianda Lampung Selata

    The purpose of this research is to improve the understanding of historical values and student learning outcomes of class X IIS 2 SMAN 1 Gemolong academic year 2014/2015 through the application of CTL model with Sangiran Site Media.This reasearch is classroom action research (CAR). The experiement was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects were students, teacher, and the teacher and learning in class X IIS 2 SMAN 1 Gemolong. Data and data sources come from students, teacher, and the learning process. Techniques of data collection is by interview, observation, questionaires, and tests. Test validity of data using the technique of triangulation method. Data analysis using comparative descriptive techniques. Research procedure is the spiral model.The result showed that; (1) the application of CTL model with Sangiran Site media can improve understanding of historical values student class X IIS 2 SMAN 1 Gemolong academic year 2014/2015. It can be seen from the result of the percentage of achievement indicators in the questionnaire understanding of historical values. In the first cycle the average achievement is 83,28 % and in the second cycle increased to 88,78 % of this acquistion has exceeded the target of 75 %; (2) the application of CTL model with Sangiran Site media can improve student learning outcomes. It can be seen from the mastery of cognitive test score, the student who complete the first cycle as much as 56,25 % and in the second cycle be 78,125 %, this result has exceeded the target of 75 %.The conclusion of this research is the application of CTL model with Sangiran Site media can improve understanding of historical values and student learning outcomes class X IIS 2 SMAN 1 Gemolong academic year 2014/201

    Developing Digital Book Based on Lafran Pane' Thought for Increasing State Defend Attitude of Students

    In the globalization era, technology development grows rapidly. The development of technology accompanied with the decreasing of states defend attitude among Indonesian. This phenomenon evidenced by development of life that has been influenced by foreign culture, of sectarian solidarity, individualism, primordial, and the moral degradation of Indonesian which can threaten the integration of the nation. Education has an important role to deal with these problems. Teachers must be able to find instructional innovations that can be used to improve state defend attitude of students, because very important for future of the nation. Instructional innovation can be used by revive characters which it contains the values of state defend in the form of digital books. Lafran Pane is one of the Indonesian heroes who have thoughts about an intellectual's attitude towards the progress of the nation and state, especially students. Lafran Pane emphasized that student must be able to love their homeland, be hold on their beliefs, reform of thought in all fields, create harmony between religions, and be aware of their obligations as a fighter to elevate national dignity.
